Basketball Recap: Hickory Christian Academy Beats Statesville Christian for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Hickory Christian Academy came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 50-45 W over the Statesville Christian Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-60 on January 13th.

Hickory Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleb Massey, who posted 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. That's the most boards Massey has posted since back in January of 2024. Grant Cole was another key player, putting up 15 points and eight rebounds.

Hickory Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Statesville Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

Hickory Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 76-69 defeat against South Charlotte on the 30th. As for Statesville Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-24 win against Millers Creek Christian on the 30th.
