Hayesville moved up to 211 from 283 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A Conference 1. The Yellowjackets climbed the ranks as a result of beating Copper Basin 47-7.
Hayesville took down the Cougars 47-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Isaac Mills threw for 163 yards and ran for 16 yards in the win.
Ernie Hughes' team's dynamic duo of Mills and Tyler Leek proved tough for Copper Basin to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Weston Acosta helped Hayesville's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 48 yards.

Leek was the best receiver in the league this week as Hayesville defeated Copper Basin. Leek racked up 4 receptions for 76 yards.
Mills put up the best numbers in passing as the Yellowjackets bested the Cougars.
Tanner Green was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 109 yards on 25 carries as Rosman defeated Copper Basin. Austin Anders also contributed to the rushing game with 104 yards on the ground.
The Yellowjackets' Mills and Leek have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 1A Conference 1 in both passing and receiving yards. Mills has thrown for 276 yards this season, while Leek, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 6 catches for 100 yards. Green from the Tigers leads the league in rushing with 263 yards.
Robbinsville led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on East Henderson.
