After a string of four wins, the Zion Chapel Rebels's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The contest between Zion Chapel and T.R. Miller wasn't particularly close, with Zion Chapel falling 43-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Zion Chapel has scored all season.
It was another big night for Heath Kirkland, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds for T.R. Miller. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Christopher Williams was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.
Zion Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for T.R. Miller, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Zion Chapel will be playing at home against Wicksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wicksburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 349th, while Zion Chapel is ranked 94th). T.R. Miller won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Brockton at 4:30 p.m. on December 29th.
