It was a good run, but the Teague Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a hard 56-37 fall against Village.
Leading Village to victory were Shaniya Williams and Mila Rossini. Williams scored 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals, while Rossini scored 27 points along with nine steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rossini has scored at least 25% of Village's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cyra Narahari, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Teague's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Village, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Teague will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against West Fork at 6:30 p.m. on December 27th. West Fork has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 17. Village and Canton will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Canton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Village in Texas (Canton is ranked 65th, while Village is ranked 309th).
