That's the first time this season that Koch scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ally Lewis, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Lewis Cass waltzed into their game Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They escaped with a win against Whitko by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48.
Lewis Cass got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kinsey Mennen out in front who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Aftin Griffin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six steals.
Western Boone's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Lewis Cass, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Western Boone have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 30.9 rebounds per game.
