Basketball Recap: Lamar Triumphs

If Park Place Christian Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lamar, they should've done a better job of containing Aryah Grace. The Lamar Raiders put the hurt on the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders with a sharp 54-34 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Grace, who posted 23 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Blake Hart was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven boards and four steals. What's more, she also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2023.

Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Park Place Christian Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Lamar will host East Rankin Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. East Rankin Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Lamar surely won't give up without a fight. Park Place Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
