The Armuchee Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 55-7 loss at the hands of Trion. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Armuchee in their matchups with Trion: they've now lost eight in a row.
Leading Trion to victory were Kade Smith and Toby Maddux. Smith threw for 159 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, while Maddux rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Ethan Willingham was another key contributor, picking up 108 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Armuchee's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Trion, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Armuchee will head out on the road to face off against Dade County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dade County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Trion, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Darlington at 7:30 p.m. Darlington is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
