The Walter Johnson Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Paint Branch Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Walter Johnson can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against Northwood by a score of 58-47.
Meanwhile, Paint Branch came out on top against Sherwood on Thursday by a score of 58-53 (the very same score they lost by the week prior).
Isaiah Lee and Jordan Horm were among the main playmakers for Paint Branch as the former scored 17 points and the latter dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. Horm is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dennis Tamnou, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
The win got Walter Johnson back to even at 5-5. As for Paint Branch, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Walter Johnson strolled past Paint Branch in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 70-53. Does Walter Johnson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Paint Branch turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
