It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Chesterton had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Hobart Brickies 16-6. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Lexi Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillienne Pittman, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.

Chesterton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win was the third in a row for Chesterton, bringing their record up to 13-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Hobart, they moved to 13-15 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Chesterton nor the Brickies have any future games scheduled.
