The Pleasant Hope Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Lockwood Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lockwood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pleasant Hope, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Pleasant Hope didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Bearcats, but they still walked away with a 51-45 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pleasant Hope.
Lockwood has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Miller by a score of 41-38.
Pleasant Hope's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Lockwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
Pleasant Hope came up short against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 50-38. Can Pleasant Hope avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
