Make it 12 blowout wins for the Richmond Raiders this season. They blew past Pinecrest 74-35 on the road on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for Richmond as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Richmond's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamyia "Juicy" Lindsey led the charge by scoring 36 points along with six steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Lindsey has scored at least a third of Richmond's points. Jasiah "JoJo" Gilchrist was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with eight steals.
Despite the loss, Pinecrest still got an impressive performance from Zanodiya Mcnair, who scored 16 points along with four steals. That was a full 45.7% of Pinecrest's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Richmond has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Pinecrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.
Richmond will be playing at home against the Bucks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hoke County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. As for Pinecrest, they will head out on the road to take on the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Lee is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home.
