Abington Heights has won 11 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Valley View has won 11 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Comets will welcome the Cougars at 7:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Abington Heights is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 21-2 margin over Wallenpaupack Area on Tuesday. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Buckhorns recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Laurenp Stalica was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Stalica was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, Valley View got themselves on the board against Delaware Valley on Monday, but Delaware Valley never followed suit. They blew past the Warriors 12-0.
Delaware Valley's batters probably weren't too happy with Taylor Cawley, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (she gave up zero walks).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kalli Karwowski, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Hallett, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Valley View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Abington Heights, their win bumped their record up to 18-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Abington Heights hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Valley View struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.2 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Abington Heights skirted past Valley View 6-5 when the teams last played back in April. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
