If Great Crossing beats Western Hills with 13 runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Great Crossing put the hurt on Western Hills with a sharp 13-2 victory on Tuesday. Considering Great Crossing has won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Nate Adkins was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).

In other batting news, Landen Walters was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Dustin Hoffman was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Great Crossing always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Western Hills only posted an OBP of .250.

Western Hills' loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-4. As for Great Crossing, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
