Chylie Querta posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. As a matter of fact, she turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.

Even though Querta couldn't lead Pyramid Lake over Wells, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
