The Christian Learning Center Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They had just enough and edged Center Place out 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Christian Learning Center has posted yet this season.
Christian Learning Center found their leader in underclassman Easton Rhodes, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Ryan Koch was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two blocks.
The victory got Christian Learning Center back to even at 6-6. As for Center Place, they bumped their record down to 4-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Learning Center will square off against Chanute Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Chanute Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Center Place, they will head out on the road to square off against Heartland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
