Providence Classical will head out on the road to square off against the Tuscaloosa Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
In what's become a running theme this season, Providence Classical gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 63-19 victory over Master's Hand Christian at home. With Providence Classical ahead 43-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Tuscaloosa Christian entered their tilt with Victory Christian with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Tuscaloosa Christian came out on top against Victory Christian by a score of 56-46 last Tuesday.
Tuscaloosa Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alec Joiner, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 rebounds. Joiner has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Alex Anglin, who scored 19 points.
Providence Classical pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
Providence Classical beat Tuscaloosa Christian 48-36 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Providence Classical repeat their success, or does Tuscaloosa Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
