In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jade Romero, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wasatch, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Timpview with a sharp 12-2 victory on Tuesday. The Wasps haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Wasatch got a big performance out of Liana Jones, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was Jones' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Smith, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Wasatch's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Spanish Fork has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Wasatch, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 strikeouts. Will Spanish Fork keep running through batters, or will the Wasps buck the trend?
Spanish Fork took their win against Wasatch in their previous meeting on April 8th by a conclusive 13-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
