They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Liberty Baptist Academy 69-38 at home. Sandy Valley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Sandy Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christopher LeClair led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that LeClair scored 15 or more points. Damion Turner was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Campbell, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Campbell hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Duran, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Sandy Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.7 points. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Coincidentally, Sandy Valley and the Knights will both be playing the Panthers the next time they take the court. Liberty Baptist Academy will host Pahranagat Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Sandy Valley will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
