Port St. Joe and Sneads are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but likely not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Port St. Joe is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Marianna a 17-0 shutout last Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Tiger Sharks, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Brooklyn Bishop made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Bishop was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Addy Silcox was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Elli Newman, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Port St. Joe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Sneads never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Graceville last Friday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 16-0 win. Considering the Pirates' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Like Port St. Joe, Sneads also got a great game from a two-way player: Naryah Dudley. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dudley was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Sneads got a massive performance out of Isabella Williams, who scored three runs and stole six bases while going 2-for-2. Williams also hit two doubles, marking her first of the season. JaVayah Johnson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing eight bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
The victory made it two in a row for Port St. Joe and bumps their season record up to 7-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Sneads, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Port St. Joe hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Sneads struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Port St. Joe skirted past Sneads 8-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Port St. Joe repeat their success, or does Sneads has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
