Waterville put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 49-26 margin over Messalonskee. Waterville were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Hermon strolled past Old Town with points to spare, taking the game 42-27. The success made it back-to-back wins for Hermon.
The last time the two teams met, Waterville lost to Hermon by a decisive 19-39 margin. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
