The Lemon Bay Manta Rays scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They strolled past Aubrey Rogers with points to spare, taking the game 71-52. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lemon Bay also won the last time the pair played last Monday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lemon Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maya Collins, who scored 22 points along with eight steals and six assists. Collins is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Myah Dickerson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lemon Bay and bumps their season record up to 10-11. As for Aubrey Rogers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lemon Bay will square off against Gulf Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gulf Coast is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Aubrey Rogers, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against LaBelle at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully LaBelle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Tuesday.
