The Polson Pirates had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 51-46 victory over Libby on Tuesday. The victory was just what Polson needed coming off of a 61-41 loss in their prior matchup.
Polson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Lichtenberg, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Jesse Vail, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Polson's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Libby, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
Polson will square off against Browning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Libby, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bigfork at 6:00 p.m. Bigfork is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
