After two games on the road, Valley is heading back home. They will take on the Carey Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Valley strolled past Dietrich with points to spare, taking the game 65-50.
Meanwhile, Carey's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top against Glenns Ferry by a score of 66-56. The victory was just what Carey needed coming off of a 62-40 loss in their prior contest.
Carey got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Preston Wood out in front who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Wood has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Parke, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Valley pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Carey, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Valley came up short against Carey when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 68-57. Will Valley have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
