The Cosby Titans will take on the Western Branch Bruins on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Cosby 3.2, Western Branch 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Cosby is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Highland Springs as they made off with a 17-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Kam Brown made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cosby kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Western Branch waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Eagles.
The result came thanks to Haylee Bandura's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Maddie Lemasters was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Marissa Bernheimer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Western Branch's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cosby, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Cosby hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Western Branch struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
