The Lewis Cass Kings's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past New Prairie 42-39. The win was just what Lewis Cass needed coming off of a 66-37 loss in their prior match.
It was another big night for L.j. Hillis, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Bryce Rudd was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds and three steals.
New Prairie's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Griffiths, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devan Kalicki, who scored ten points.
Lewis Cass' victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for New Prairie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
