In what's become a running theme this season, the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They really took it to King City for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-35 victory on the road. Given Monte Vista Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 625th, while the Mustangs are ranked 1347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Bryce Brogan, who scored 19 points along with three steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jack Ryan was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Monte Vista Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for King City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monte Vista Christian will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for King City, they will be playing at home against the Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
