Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jamarion Hall and Eldren Vergara Lead Morse to Victory

Morse won the last time they faced High Tech SD and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Morse Tigers came out on top against the High Tech SD Storm by a score of 59-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Morse was led to victory by Eldren Vergara and Jamarion Hall. Vergara posted 14 points, while Hall dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Vergara a new career-high in assists (four). Jayren Sunico was another key player, putting up ten points.

High Tech SD's loss came despite strong showings from Hiro Nakamura and Anthony Gonzalez. Nakamura had 11 points, while Gonzalez went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points. Angel Soto also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Morse is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for High Tech SD, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Morse didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-48 loss against Mount Miguel on the 22nd. High Tech SD has also already played their next match (against Crawford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
