The Timber Ridge Titans lost against the Paw Paw Pirates back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Timber Ridge was beaten by Paw Paw 64-26. Timber Ridge has struggled against Paw Paw recently, as their match on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Donavan Tanouye, who scored 12 points along with four steals for Paw Paw. Tanouye hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Greyson Corbett was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Timber Ridge dropped their record down to 1-1 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for Paw Paw, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Timber Ridge on the road again on Monday and play against Legacy Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Paw Paw won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hancock has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11.
