The Jackson Aggies's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Murphy Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th. Jackson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 313 points over their last five contests.
Jackson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 31 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 60-19 win over McIntosh on the road. Given Jackson's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while McIntosh is ranked 334th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jackson found their leader in underclassman Angel Powell, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Powell has scored at least 25% of Jackson's points. Jazmine Jones was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Murphy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Mary G. Montgomery by a score of 56-54.
Jackson pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Murphy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
