Ty Carter Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, La Vernia got the W thanks in part to Ty Carter playing the best football he has all season. Carter rushed for 233 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run.
The win was the sixth in a row for La Vernia, bringing their record for this year to 10-3. Carter and La Vernia will face off against Bay City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bay City Gets a Boost from Estrada in 28-21 Victory
Alex Estrada's big game helped extend Bay City's winning streak to 11 on Friday. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played.
