With a playoff win on the line, West Bend East rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Milwaukee School of Languages Hawks as they made off with a 23-2 win. The Suns' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Colton Multerer was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. West Bend East is 4-2 when Multerer posts two or more runs, but 2-18 otherwise.
