Norwich Free Academy is a perfect 4-0 against St. Bernard since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Saints at 4:00 p.m. Norwich Free Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so St. Bernard's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

St. Bernard will be up against a hot Norwich Free Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Wildcats came out on top against Woodstock Academy by a score of 5-2 on Saturday. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Centaurs on their field since May 10, 2016.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard beat New London 8-4 on Saturday. With that win, the Saints brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Desmond Powers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Powers was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs. St. Bernard is 2-1 when Powers posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anthony Demarco, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Joey Muscarella also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Norwich Free Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 6.6 runs this season. As for St. Bernard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Everything went Norwich Free Academy's way against St. Bernard in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Norwich Free Academy made off with an 8-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
