Make it six blowout wins for the Cadott Hornets this season. They blew past Thorp 59-35. Given Cadott's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Thorp is ranked 409th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cadott found their leader in underclassman Taylor Hager, who scored 22 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Kasey Moldrem, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Cadott pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Thorp, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Cadott's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bloomer at 7:15 p.m. on January 22nd. Thorp won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Fall Creek at 5:45 p.m. on January 19th.
