Forest extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region 6 this week by beating St. Andrews Episcopal, 40-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
McLaurin took down East Union 62-26 last week, the largest margin of any game. Corderius Davis threw for 97 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 102 yards in the win.
Eric McGee was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 213 yards on 19 carries as the Tigers defeated Raleigh. Joseph Satcher also contributed to the rushing game with 122 yards on the ground.
Jones was the best wideout in the league this week as the Panthers beat the Lions. Jones tallied five receptions for 89 yards. Monta Bowie helped Morton's passing attack out by catching three balls for 38 yards.
5-foot-6 quarterback Jymier Slocum of Morton is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1642. He has also thrown 16 touchdowns. On the ground, McLaurin's McGee has rushed for 1118 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tanner Menist. The St. Andrews Episcopal star has 50 catches for 703 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Saints take on Marc Herrington's team. At the moment, St. Andrews Episcopal is in third, while the Tigers are in first.
Miles Porter's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,766 from 7,157. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 45-13 victory over Raleigh last week.
