On Tuesday, the Damonte Ranch Mustangs faced the Bishop Manogue Miners in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Damonte Ranch took a serious blow against Bishop Manogue, falling  59-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat Damonte Ranch has suffered  since December 14, 2023.
  Josie Tierney and  Mya Ghisletta certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss.  Tierney  scored eight points along with six  rebounds, while  Ghisletta  scored eight points.
 Bishop Manogue's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Milasarai Tau, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 16  rebounds. Tau has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Fa'anaetaua Puloka, who  scored 13 points along with six  rebounds and three  steals.
 Damonte Ranch's defeat  ended a three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-10. As for Bishop Manogue, the  win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Damonte Ranch will take on Reed at 5:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Reed is hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses. As for Bishop Manogue, they will be playing at home against Douglas at 5:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Douglas is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
