The Legend Titans pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mullen. Legend was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mullen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Legend's loss came despite strong showings from Seth Whitehead and Carson Flowers. Whitehead scored 16 points, while Flowers scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The match was Whitehead's third in a row with at least ten points. Kale Sparks was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Jordan Leslie continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mullen, dropping a triple-double on 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Leslie is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Thomas Stewart, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Legend has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Mullen, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legend will play host again and welcome ThunderRidge, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. ThunderRidge is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games. As for Mullen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highlands Ranch at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
