It was a good run, but the Worth County Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 83-61 loss at the hands of Dodge County. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Worth County struggled afterwards.
Worth County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was ASHTON WILLIAMS, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The contest was WILLIAMS's tenth in a row with at least ten points. CULLY HENDLEY was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Jaedon Mcclendon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dodge County, scoring 26 points. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Duke Johnson, who scored 12 points.
Worth County's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Dodge County, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
Worth County will take on Lanier County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dodge County, they will head out on the road to face off against Jeff Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jeff Davis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 428th, while Dodge County is ranked 78th).
