Softball Recap: Logan Wins Going Away Against Morgan

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Box Elder, Logan was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Morgan Trojans as they made off with a 12-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Miley Allen, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run and one double. Another player making a difference was Rachel Porter, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Logan's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Morgan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Logan is set to challenge their familiar foe Grantsville at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Morgan will take on rival Ogden at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
