The Sheehan Titans will venture away from home to take on the St. Joseph Cadets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sheehan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so St. Joseph's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Sheehan took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over North Haven.
St. Joseph not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since June 2, 2025 (when they won 12-0). They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Warde. The Cadets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Katie Dzialo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Addie Graf was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and three runs. Gina Coppola was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
St. Joseph always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2025.
Sheehan's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph, their record now sits at 2-3.
Sheehan suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to St. Joseph in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
