In what's become a running theme this season, the Carnegie Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They breezed by Lookeba-Sickles on the road to the tune of 71-21. Given Carnegie's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Lookeba-Sickles is ranked 434th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carnegie got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kevin Galvez out in front who scored 20 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Galvez has scored all season. Jalen Wallace was another key contributor, going 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 3 assists.
Carnegie's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Lookeba-Sickles, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.
Carnegie's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mountain View-Gotebo at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Lookeba-Sickles, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hobart at 8:00 p.m. Hobart will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
