The Clements Colts will head out on the road to face off against the Phil Campbell Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Clements unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Colbert County at home and fell 55-13.
Clements' loss came about despite a quality game from Jayden Gilbert, who rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown. Gilbert hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Meanwhile, after only six points in their last match, Phil Campbell made sure to put some points up on the board against Colbert Heights on Friday. Phil Campbell snuck past Colbert Heights with a 32-27 win.
Colbert County's victory bumped their season record to 4-4 while Clements' loss dropped theirs to 6-4.
Clements came up short against Phil Campbell in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 44-32. Can Clements avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
