While Floyd Central put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Columbus East. The Highlanders walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Olympians. The win was some much needed relief for the Highlanders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Floyd Central's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Columbus East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Floyd Central will venture away from home to face off against Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbus East, they will head out to take on Jeffersonville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
