On Washington Academy's side, Bella Cirone made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cirone was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Sadie Story was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Avery Libby was another key contributor, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
The victory made it two in a row for Washington Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
