The Larimore Polar Bears will be playing at home against the New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Larimore's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
Larimore scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-48 victory over Wyndmere/Lidgerwood.
It was another big night for Michael Myers, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 20 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Jace Collison was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, New Rockford-Sheyenne's game last Monday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down St. John 61-47. Given New Rockford-Sheyenne's advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while St. John is ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Larimore's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for New Rockford-Sheyenne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
