It was a good run, but the Pine View Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dixie. Pine View has not had much luck with Dixie recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Pine View lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Griffen Shepherd, who scored 18 points. Nash Schroeder was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
It was another big night for Kyle Lemke, who almost dropped a triple-double on 29 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocks for Dixie. Lemke is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Breckon Robinson, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Pine View's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Dixie, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
Pine View will head out on the road to face off against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Dixie, they will be playing at home against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Snow Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Dixie likes a good challenge.
