McClintock has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Metro Tech Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. McClintock will be strutting in after a win while Metro Tech will be coming in after a loss.
In what's become a running theme this season, McClintock gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 65-39 margin over Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win McClintock has posted since December 12, 2023.
McClintock found their leader in underclassman Lamaiya Woodberry, who scored 20 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Iakira Mike, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Metro Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their tenth straight loss. They were dealt a 74-35 defeat at the hands of Fairfax. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Metro Tech in their matchups with Fairfax: they've now lost nine in a row.
McClintock's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Metro Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Everything came up roses for McClintock against Metro Tech in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 72-15 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for McClintock since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
