After three games on the road, Plattsburg is heading back home. They will take on the Southeast Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Plattsburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 392 points over their last six games.
You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Plattsburg's strategy against Lawson on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Plattsburg blew Lawson out of the water with a 71-33 final score. That looming 71-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Plattsburg yet this season.
Michael "isaia" Howard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Howard is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Tryston Miller was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Southeast's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Warrenton, falling 49-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast has scored all season.
Plattsburg pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Southeast, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-10 record last season and are now at 1-8.
Plattsburg beat Southeast 70-58 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Will Plattsburg repeat their success, or does Southeast have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
