Hanson will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Irene/Wakonda in at 7:00 PM. If the game is anything like the 62-36 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Hanson had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 0-36 loss at the hands of Baltic.
Irene/Wakonda had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They steamrollered Viborg/Hurley 52-14. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Irene/Wakonda had established a 44-14 advantage.
Irene/Wakonda's lifted them to 1-0 while Hanson's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. Their offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Irene/Wakonda defensive front that amassed 6 sacks against Viborg/Hurley last Friday.
