Sarah Niazi went supernova, getting 24 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Amber Ives, who had 21 assists and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Merritt Island was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rockledge walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Commodores on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Commodores recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Rockledge's got stronger as the match went on, holding Eau Gallie to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-10.
Merritt Island better keep an eye on Arianna Jackson. She was instrumental in Rockledge's win, getting 18 digs and three aces. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played.
Merritt Island's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Rockledge, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's match: Merritt Island has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Rockledge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
