In other batting news, Brianna Weidner was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. Juliana Parolisi also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Estero challenged Dunbar on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Annika Jarvi looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Ava Weinbaum was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Dena Peregrin, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
The victory made it two in a row for Estero and bumps their season record up to 13-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.5 runs over those games. As for Port Charlotte, their record now sits at 9-14.
Port Charlotte couldn't quite get it done against Estero when the teams last played back in March as they fell 7-3. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
